JAC includes both a group lesson and an individual piano lesson each week.
The group lesson covers most of the curriculum, which continues to be an excellent and important learning environment. Subjects become more sophisticated, for example: the singing is often in parts; chords are played in different inversions; ensemble part scores and ensemble arrangement is introduced.
The individual piano lesson is where the repertoire pieces are now covered (please see Instrument requirements at home).
JAC deepens and extends the students' musical knowledge and abilities, and builds on the foundations of creativity laid in JXC. The children enjoy helping each other introduce structure into their compositions.
Children are now much more independent, but parents are still vital! Parents are not required to attend lessons, although you will be invited to observe from time to time to keep in touch.
