Matrix hosts Associated Board (ABRSM), Yamaha (YMF) and ballet (RAD) exams.

Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music exams usually take place towards the end of each term. It is the responsibility of your teacher to enter you - please note that although we know which week the exam will be, the exact day of the exam is unknown until quite close to the exam - sometimes just two weeks in advance. We are able then to create a timetable to suit accompanists if we are given this information in good time.

Yamaha Music Foundation exams are open to students studying our Yamaha courses. Students are entered by their teachers at relevant places in their courses. Parents are kept informed about these either through parents’ evenings or during the course of the lessons.

Royal Academy of Dancing exams are organised by the ballet teacher and not the office, so please contact her directly for further information.
